With a career as an accomplished golfer and professional instructor spanning over 40 years, Bill joined the ESPN Golf Schools Presented by American Express team in 2006. Beginning as a teaching and playing professional at Aronimink and Merion Golf Clubs, both located in southeast Pennsylvania, he rapidly advanced to Director of Golf at Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, CT.
From Brooklawn, Bill joined Golf Digest, and was instrumental in the development of the magazine's event/sports marketing division by incorporating its golf schools into corporate golf and tournament operations. After 14 years, Bill departed Golf Digest to establish ON THE TEE, INCORPORATED, a private corporate golf consulting and event management firm.
In addition to his current corporate golf and academy operations, Bill is also the Director of Golf Operations and teaches for the Children's Golf Foundation, a First Tee facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The CGF is the only First Tee operation in the country committed exclusively to children who are physically handicapped and/or mentally challenged.
A native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Bill is a Class A member of the PGA of America. He resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida with his wife of 42 years, Jane, and together, they have three sons and four grandchildren.
